APPLICATION DEADLINE: All submissions must be received by 11:59PM on February 25th, 2018.
ELIGIBILITY: The Competition is open to anyone, but the piece submitted must be an original, non-performed piece.
WINNING PIECE: The winning piece will be the Anthem of BrassFestUK 2018, it will be published and distributed by Pennine Music and will be recorded by the Cory Band. It is estimated that over 120 brass bands across the world will perform the winning piece as part of BrassFestUK 2018
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Full brass band score and parts (Sibelius format only please) by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
ADJUDICATION: All submissions will be adjudicated by a panel consisting of Philip Harper, Christopher Bond and Gavin Somerset.
NOTIFICATION DATE: The winner will be announced on Sunday 29th April 2018
WRITING GUIDELINES: -The piece should be written for full brass band scoring. -The total length of the piece should not be less than 3:00 and should not exceed 4:30 minutes. -The piece may not have already received a premiere, or been published or recorded. In addition, the piece should not be awaiting publication with any publisher. - The piece should be aimed at a 3rd section level of difficulty with an easier piece that is playable by youth bands and can be played as a separate piece or as a combined piece with the more difficult composition.
